The Box Pro TP218/1600A vs. Yamaha DXS18
Hallo.
I'm turning to you germans with a question.
You have Thomann and i guess many of you buy your gear from them.
I'm thinking about adding 2 subs to my equipment.
And i am standing between Thomanns The box PRO TP218/1600A and Yamahas DXS18.
I am wondering if someone of you have heard them both.
They are gonna compliment two Yamaha DSR215 and are mostly gonna be used at parties for about 50-200 people.
But we demand to have alot of pressure.
They are both rated to 136 dB SPL.
But which is the best choice?

Re: The Box Pro TP218/1600A vs. Yamaha DXS18
Without any doubt the The box PRO TP218/1600A will have more output. Afterall it is a double 18" compared to a single one...
The The Box TP218 probably has the best performance to price ratio of all self powered subs on the market, as with a lot of thomanns home brand products.
The real long term (not peak) SPL of the The Box will be around 132db while the Yamaha will have around 127db max SPL. The rest is marketing BS

Re: The Box Pro TP218/1600A vs. Yamaha DXS18
Hello.
Add four the box pro TP 118/800 A.
You'll get a much better handling and you are more flexible because you can use only one subwoofer for small partys.
The the box pro TP 118/800 A will sound cleaner than the Yamaha.
Greets,
Bernd
